Archetypes and elements of nature are an integral part of the human world that can be examined and studied in all human angles. Mary Esther Harding is one of the contemporary theorists who has paid attention to archetypes and their connection with ancient and modern mythology, and has paid attention to it with the approach of ancient and modern women. In his theory, he considers the deep connection and connection of women with nature, especially with the moon and the sun, and considers the main reason for women's behavior in opposition to society, as well as women's fertility in the movements of the moon and the elements of the earth. Since the female protagonist of the story “The Year of Riot " is described by the author as inspired by the elements of nature such as soil, trees and water, as well as ancient myths and legends, so the researcher of the female character of this novel is based on archetypal psychological foundations and with a theoretical approach. Harding and analyzed in an analytical-descriptive and library manner and at the end came to the conclusion that the female protagonist of the story took refuge in nature, garden, tree and soil in order to reach the exaltation of her soul, which was left behind from the origin of her existence. This connection with nature and especially the soil has led to the awareness of women.
Introduction
The book “The Year of Riot " is the story of a woman named Noosh Afarin, who, as the first narrator of the story, depicts a scene of a house and then a scene of her husband's deadly violence, which leads to the woman's death. The time of the story is between the past and the present and is narrated as a fluid flow of the mind. "Noosha" is the daughter of Colonel Nilufari. Colonel Nilufari, Noosha's father, who has come to "Sangsar" (the place where the story of the book takes place) to climb the stairs, and decides to create a glorious future for his daughter. But Noosha falls in love with a strange potter and dedicates her whole being to him; however fate has made a different decision for Noosha. The author avoids the legend of the king's daughter and the goldsmith's son in different ways and mixes the love story with the unfulfilled love story of Nosha. The highlight of the story is the centrality of a woman who is rejected from the first pillar of society, i.e. the family, and then in society, and is attacked by oppression that can be applied to any woman at any time.
Method
The current article, which is taken from a doctoral thesis, deals with the element of the "woman" character in the story with a psychological perspective and mixed with myth and archetype, and tries to use a descriptive analytical method and with a library study, the symbolic mechanisms of combining myth and psychology and Adapting to Esther Harding's theory, examine the category of fundamental beliefs, myth and social behavior.
Conclusion
Today, myth is not limited in the meaning of legend, but is cognate with a cultural and ideological capital. In other words, the myth in the novel is a tool to react to social situations and life experience. From this point of view, myth indicates that before literature and a special style, it goes together with society. This article aims to achieve a study of the feminine principle in myths, dreams and religious symbolism. The researcher intends to present the archetypal foundations of female psychology to show how the religious and ancient elements of nature become symbols of the growth of emotions in a woman in the story of "The Year of Riot". In the end, it has been concluded that understanding the psychological meaning of these connections with the elements of nature could improve the troubled relationship between men and women in the story.
Results
The duality of the female character in the story with the help of her origin of birth as well as the view of the society and "Noosha's" husband about the identity of the woman is a sign of the author's critical view about the position of women in today's society. Actually, by describing the beliefs and dreams of the female protagonist, the author intends to improve her suffering by connecting with nature and its elements.
