The three-volume novel Parsian and Me is a fantasy by Arman Arin. The first two volumes which are the re-creations of parts of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh the author has created new characters and story situations. One of the fantasy writers’ sources helping them to create their ideal world is myths and epics, which are the product of the collective consciousness of the people and are formed over the centuries. As a result, they are not free of traditional patterns. One of the most prominent patterns in traditional literature is the gender patterns. Fantasy is the art of the modern world. Taking into account the capabilities that the modern fantasy and fiction provide for the author , it is expected that in the modern fantasy a new world, where some of the traditional patterns that are not compatible with the ones in today's world, will be created. In this article, through research in this field, we find that the author of the novel could not or did not want to use fantasy privileges to remove gender stereotypes. Due to its size. The novel Parsian and I removed some women from the Shahnameh and replaced them with women who, according to traditional stereotypes, have a secondary role compared to men and are passive figures, and although they are included in the modern novel but their presence has more of a stereotype color.
