Love is one of the main elements of lyrical literature. "Homay and Homayoun" is a romantic poem written by Khajovi Kermani based on the love between its characters. The purpose of this research is to compare love in this work according to the psychological theory of Erich Froum using a descriptive and analytical method. From the perspective of the froum, love is the only adequate and wise response to the issue of the right to human life, and any society that prevents the evolution of love; is doomed He considers love to be a kind of art that is acquired and with this point of view, he discussed the dimensions of love and classified it into different groups such as: maternal love, paternal love, brotherly love and sexual love. The results of this research show that in the lyrical story of Homay and Homayoun, sexual love is the basis of the formation of events and the whole story, which is complemented by other loves. In addition, the methods and conditions of love are well explained in this poem
