Genet's theory of narratology mentions four models of repeated narrative, singular, narrative and quasi-narrative to examine the frequency of narration in literary works. The creator of the work can use all kinds of these patterns in his work and create a lasting work. The past life of elderly people is one of the most significant narrative works in contemporary Iranian literature, and in this research, the element of narrative frequency in this work has been analyzed in the form of content analysis and descriptive-analytical analysis. Examining this book from the perspective of Genette's theory of narratology shows that the author has used repeated narration to affect the reader emotionally and create an ambiguous and mysterious atmosphere in the story. As its title suggests, the repeated narration describes the repetition of that narration in the story, and the repetition of the narration of events from the point of view of different characters, at different time points and in different parts of the story, plays an essential role in designing the elaborate plot of the book. The author rarely used the narrator pattern and this structure is unique to the narration of traditional ceremonies in Talkhabad village and similar cases; As a result, the narrator's narration has a lower frequency than the individual narration.
