This article examines the novel "Terlan" by Fariba Wafi using the developmentalist constructivist approach of Lucien Goldman and with the method of document analysis and critique of the text along with evidence, will try to show the social atmosphere in the author's world to state that political structures , Social and cultural of Iranian society in the formation of mental structures of the author and the emergence of this novel, what influence and what is the connection between the structures of society and the structures of the novel. The findings show that this novel is a purely social work and the product of the author's ideological mentality and thinking, in which, while examining the social and cultural developments of the society of his time, he showed a reflection of the social and ruling realities of society. He considers the way to achieve an independent female identity away from the patriarchal view, participation in social activities and raising their level of awareness. In this novel, which is the result of the actions of the contemporary generation and their concerns, the author depicts the problems and issues of women in life, the patriarchal atmosphere, the lack of identity of women, etc., by choosing the lives of two young girls. Wafi considering one of the social themes; That is, the feminine identity and patriarchal atmosphere has shown the structure of the society of a period in Iran
