Freud is the first psychoanalyst whose ideas were presented by himself in literature. After him, neo-Freudians like Karen Horne investigated the human personality from different aspects. In his theories, Hornay tried to deal with Freud's basic anxiety three personality types: reclusive, aggressive, and affectionate. Ghada Al-Saman is one of the contemporary Lebanese novelists who has written about characters taken from the real world in the book Lailatal-Maliar. In this novel, he deals with indirect characterization by using active dialogues, monologues and actions. Raghid, the negative character of the story, has characteristics such as mistrust of others, lack of love and interest towards humans, cruel behavior, being dominated by others, needing success and attention of others, and the authenticity of his own interests. be The characteristic of mistrust in this character is bolder. This character takes help from these components to cope with his inner complexes. The research method is qualitative content analysis. The results of the research show that dominance is one of the characteristics that al-Saman tries to prove to the negative people of his story. The negative characters in this story are cowardly patriots who, for their safety and well-being, engage in destructive activities outside the homeland.
