Abstract

“Children's literature” plays a fundamental role in shaping literary taste formation and the socialization process of children. This literature addresses the formation and evolution of a child's personality through their engagement with different social institutions, including family, society, and peer groups. The recent research examines the development of both the structure and content of literary prose narratives published in the “Roshd-e-DaneshAmouz” magazine, spanning from the early 1980s to the 2010s. In this study, situated within the realm of cultural studies and focusing on the interdependent relationship between literature and societal culture, three primary levels (story, narrative, and implication) are explored. Additionally, the structural, semantic, and cultural transformations in these works are scrutinized through the lenses of deconstruction, demythologizing, and disenchantment. The findings of the study indicate that throughout the past forty years, the literary prose narratives featured in the “Roshd-e-DaneshAmouz” magazine have experienced considerable transformations due to the impact of political, social, and cultural advancements within society. This evolution has led to a notable increase in the diversity and complexity of narrative techniques, while the content has seen profound alterations in cultural, social, and moral themes. Consequently, several traditional frameworks have been modified and evolved into new formats that align with contemporary societal requirements. An examination of the developments over the past forty years indicates that literary prose narratives have played a significant role in enhancing children's life skills and facilitating their socialization.
