Analysis of the Titles of Persian Stories from 1357 to 1380 from an Aesthetic Perspective

As a linguistic phenomenon and the first channel of communication between the author of a work and the audience, and also as a component that reflects the context and the topic of any work at first glance, a title is of great importance, and naturally, this significance and influence is more remarkable on works of fiction than other literary fields. This is mostly due to their advantage of aesthetic capabilities and specific literary subtleties. Analyzing the titles from the aesthetic point of view opens several channels for the readers, including the field of concepts, linguistic implications, symbolic references, etc. Therefore, in the present article, the titles of 50 fiction works written between the years of 1350 and 1380 have been examined through grammatical, musical, and lexical triad from an aesthetic point of view using descriptive-analytical method, and on the basis of library studies. The result of this research in the grammatical field indicates that two-part noun groups, which are mainly used as adjectival and genitive constructions in titles, are applied more than other grammatical structures in the titles due to their greater impact on uncovering the semantic and code structures of the text. From a musical point of view, in the internal music section, the phonetic arrangement of long vowels and then the repetition of middle consonants are seen more than other industries in fiction titles. Besides, in the spiritual music section, allusion and imagery are respectively more observed, which in turn have helped effectively to create more phonetic balance, image creation, and finally lucidity of aesthetic angles. From the standpoint of the lexical layer, the titles with political-social approach and then mental and abstract titles have the highest frequency, and in this way, have shown a manifestation of authors’specific ideologies and emotions.
Introduction
The devotion of title is a linguistic phenomenon that serves as the primary channel of communication between the author of a work and the audience. As a result, the selection of a suitable title for literary works, particularly fiction, has become increasingly significant within the broad spectrum of modern literature. As a result, modernist authors and writers have carefully considered selecting titles that appropriately convey their ethical beliefs and worldview, especially in the post-revolutionary era. The author's thoughts and emotions are revealed through these titles. Analyzing story titles aesthetically allows one to delve into various topics, such as concepts, linguistic meanings, symbolic references, metaphors, similes, ironies, and more.
Methodology
The Primary concern of this study was to identify the aesthetic patterns in the titles of fifty important works published between 1978 and 2001. By looking at these titles, we hope to investigate the literary life of these 23 years from the perspectives of musicality, specific language and semantic focus principles, and rhetorical strategies. Several works have been chosen from each well-known author at random for examination because of the volume of fiction written during this time. As a result, the research methodology has been changed to a mixed-methods approach that uses inductive reasoning.
Results and Discussion
Three primary areas of linguistic analysis can be used for story titles: vocabulary, melody, and grammar. The bulk of titles from this era are made up of two-word noun phrases, according to a grammatical analysis. Since word juxtaposition has a big impact on meaning and intent, authors have probably taken advantage of this approach to make their titles more beautiful and powerful. Therefore, more than 60 percent of story titles in this period were used as descriptive and genitive compounds.
By using different kinds of internal music and melody, writers have been able to use words' secondary meanings to conjure particular ideas in addition to producing lovely and attractive melodies and sounds from the appearance of words. It's important to note that authors utilize long vowels more frequently because they have a higher auditory effect and serve rhetorical purposes that suit the reader's sensibility.
 In the realm of spiritual music, it seems that the technique of allusion, due to its rich educational, mythological, and narrative background, along with the technique of metonymy, which appeals to the contemporary world's tendency towards brevity and ease of expression, has resonated more favorably with aesthetically inclined audiences and it is s more compatible with the audience's aesthetic mind. Consequently, these techniques have garnered special attention from writers.
Authors have improved the ability of words to express complex meanings, literary nuances, and traditions by utilizing a variety of linguistic methods in titles. This has raised the total linguistic effect.

As one of the most popular literary forms in the modern period, stories are important. They are important to look at their titles from different angles. Titles are worth mentioning for a number of reasons, including establishing a mental image associated with the theme, enhancing the story's trustworthiness, and setting it apart from other works. In general, both internal and external linguistic aspects have an impact on narrative titles. More precisely, especially in recent years, there is a substantial correlation between the titles of the works under analysis and the socio-political views, cultural background, and living conditions of the authors. This demonstrates that Iranian fiction writers have consistently strived to establish a strong connection between the title and the theme of their works, using aesthetic elements to create a more artistic form for the titles and thereby pique the reader's curiosity, attention, and interest.
