The results of this study show that Ghazaleh Alizadeh's life has significantly reflected on the characters, events, and themes of the novel The House of the Idrisi. In particular, the character of Mrs. Idrisi and the themes of loneliness, isolation, and death contemplation reflect the author's personal experiences and concerns. Also, the political and cultural circumstances of the novel are an output of the social and political conditions of the author's era, and strong traces of the author's mysticism are evident in places throughout the novel.Using a compassionate approach, the author seeks meaning beyond worldly suffering and looks to mysticism as a window to escape suffering and connect to a transcendent truth. By examining these overlaps, the present study provides a deeper understanding of the connection between the author’s life and his literary work and helps to understand the hidden and unspoken aspects of the novel The House of the Idrisi.
