Abstract

The narrative model of Algirdas Grimas is one of the methods of structural analysis of literary works, which by using the processes and patterns of narratology and sign-semantics, it is possible to identify the general structure of different narratives and Persian prose and verse texts. This research, which was carried out in a descriptive-analytical way, is taken from the researcher's doctoral thesis entitled "Narrative Grammar in the Magical Stories of the Shahnameh Based on Grimas' Theory"And it is necessary to know, to what extent the narrative model of Grimas, which Grimas considers to be a universal and flexible model with all kinds of narratives and stories, corresponds to the narrative structure of Zahhak's magical story. In this story, a number of activists have magical and extraordinary powers and use this power in their actions. The results of the research show that the narrative grammar of Grimas is structurally consistent with this story and the role and influence of magical actors in this story is different from the role and influence of natural (non-magical) actors.
