Analysis of the signs of Nonverbal communication in the Da novel

Abstract

The most important means of communication between human beings is language and verbal communication; but use of language and mafia expression, non-verbal communication and the use of body language is also one of the ways of. Language has no role in non-verbal behaviors, but it has a great impact on the transmission of the message to the extent that it is sometimes even considered more important than verbal behaviors. Meanwhile, the owners of literary works have used non-verbal communication to express their thoughts and ideas more effectively. The creator of the novel Da who have paid special attention to establishing non-verbal communication between the characters of the story. Therefore, in this article, the types of nonverbal communication and its various aspects in the novel have been studied and analyzed by descriptive-analytical method.Findings show that there is a significant alignment between the non-verbal relationships in the novel and the conditions of society. because this novel narrates the events of the Iran-Iraq war and the conditions of society at that time, the frequency of non-verbal behaviors that imply concepts such as fear, excitement, sadness, etc. In addition, the non-verbal cues in the environment indicate anarchy and collective anxiety in urban spaces.
