A Comparative Study of the Heroic Journey of the Character in the Romance Nell and Daman and the Novel The year of the Riot based on the Model of the Awakening of the Inner Hero

Abstract

The current research, based on Pearson and K. Mar's model and the hero's journey theory, aims to compare the hero's journey and its glory and decay in the romance Nell and Daman by Feizi Dakani and the novel The Year of the Riot by Abbas Maroufi. The main hero of each story performs various roles such as changer, maintainer, protector, improver, destroyer, supporter, and obstacle. These roles serve different and diverse functions within the literary genres of romance and novel, with the hero categorized as either a transcendental or non-transcendental actor. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the hero's journey and the nature of awakening and its functions through a comparative analysis of these two genres by examining the selected works, ultimately presenting the personality patterns of these two types of heroes. The results show that the hero in the romance Nell and Daman has the role of the active subject. "Nell" is a hero who attains honor through sufficient travel and experience, supported by helpful actors and by overcoming hindering ones. By accepting the role of ruler, Nell reaches transcendence and glory. In contrast, in the novel The Year of the Riot, "Nusa" is an abstract actor or a passive subject who undergoes a course of decay. This research demonstrates that these two genres exhibit opposing patterns of transcendence and dissolution.
Introduction:

Results and Discussion:
In the Results section of a quantitative paper, summarize the collected data and the results of any analyses performed on those data relevant to the discourse that is to follow.
Analyze data and report findings, including effect sizes and confidence intervals or statistical significance levels.
Conclusion:
State conclusions, beyond just results, and report the implications or applications. In the conclusion, consider returning to a discussion of why the problem is important (as stated in the introduction); what larger issues, meaning those that transcend the particulars of the subfield, might hinge on the findings; and what propositions are confirmed or disconfirmed by the extrapolation of these findings to such overarching issues. Also consider the following issues:

What is the theoretical, clinical, or practical significance of the outcomes, and what is the basis for these interpretations?
If the findings are valid and replicable, what real-life psychological phenomena might be explained or modeled by the results?
Are applications warranted on the basis of this research?
What problems remain unresolved or arise anew because of these findings?

The responses to these questions are the core of the contribution of your study and justify why readers both inside and outside your specialty should attend to the findings. Readers should receive clear, unambiguous, and direct answers.
