Abstract

. In this research, the element of plot as one of the most basic elements of the story by which other elements are systematized, is analyzed in two poems of Weiss and Ramin by Fakhreddin Asad Gorgani and Wameq and Ozra of Nami Isfahani. The reason for selecting these two works was their common themes and this fact that Weiss and Ramin is one of the first lyrical poems of Persian literature and Nami's Wameq and Ozra was written in the last periods of classical Persian literature. Examining the plot in these works indicates the evolution of attention to narrative elements in lyrical poems. This research showed the differences and similarities between these two verses in terms of plot structure and what effect the systematic structure of the plot has on the promotion of a work. The beginning of most of the events of these two verses is similar, the description of the characters, the space and the event are the initiators of the events. Conflicts are also often emotional because of the lyrical nature of the works and where physical conflicts occur, epic elements predominate. However, although Gorgani's work is one of the first fictional verses in Persian literature and many events have taken place in it, the logical connection between them has been less discontinued and contrary to Nami's verse, no unbelievable incident has occurred in it that causes to weakness of the plot of the story.
