The need to develop the concept of "story plot" in fiction teaching texts

Abstract

Familiarity of students with fictional elements, as an important part of educational programs in the field of Persian literature, requires that books and educational resources in this field, relying on interdisciplinary studies, provide accurate and comprehensive concepts and updates in the description and classification of these elements.Based on a case study, the study of the cocept of "plot" in the common sources of academic fiction literature , this article shows that the approach of these sources in defining plot is mainly based on Aristotle`s theory. While examining the ambiguities and shortcomings of these definitions . This article suggests that the studies of narratologists in this field should be used to strengthen and update the concept of plot. Topics in the field of narratology that can be effective indeveloping the concept of plot and deepening its education, and this article introduces them are :
